About the Initiative

Maa Ki Rasoi E-Restoration is not just a restaurant chain—it is a social movement. It was founded with the noble goal of creating employment opportunities exclusively for women, with a special emphasis on helping widows and divorced women regain financial independence and confidence. Through this platform, women are given priority, dignity, and a chance to build a better life.

The organization is committed to employing 50 to 60 women per restaurant unit, offering them stable work, skill development, and social security. Each unit is not just a restaurant but a center of empowerment and purpose.

Maa Ki Rasoi originally began in 1952, by delivering home-cooked lunch boxes to coal mine workers, factory laborers, and people in the streets of Vrindavan. Since then, it has grown into a respected name, delivering not just food but compassion, hope, and opportunity.

A major pillar of the initiative is women’s well-being. All female staff at Maa Ki Rasoi receive health insurance coverage, and there are free medical checkups every three months to ensure their health is closely monitored and cared for. Every workplace is designed to be clean, safe, and nurturing, so that every woman working there feels respected, secure, and valued.

Family-Friendly & Inclusive Environment

The restaurant spaces go beyond being just dining areas. Each unit includes a dedicated play zone for children, allowing mothers and families to dine in peace. Additionally, there's a garden facility for elderly patrons, providing a soothing, inclusive environment for all age groups.

Community Discount Schemes

Maa Ki Rasoi believes in giving back. That’s why the restaurant offers special discount schemes for individuals who often serve or struggle in silence. This includes a 50% discount for:

  • Business vehicle drivers

  • Media professionals

  • Military personnel

  • Students

  • Fathers of three daughters (to honor and support girl child education and empowerment)

Additionally, every food bill comes with a validity of one month. If the same bill is re-submitted within that period, the customer receives an additional 2% discount—a unique and thoughtful customer loyalty feature.

Food at Maa Ki Rasoi is prepared with fresh ingredients, high-quality spices, and utmost hygiene. From kitchen to customer, CCTV surveillance ensures transparency, cleanliness, and quality across all cooking and serving processes. The promise is simple but powerful: healthy, home-style food at a fair price, made by women, for everyone.
